Two Programs, One Vision

The Beckwith Institute has a dynamic vision for both improved patient care today and innovative process improvements for tomorrow. This unique approach creates two separate yet collaborative programs for grant submission within the Institute.
Ideas and innovations supported by these two programs work in concert to achieve a single goal: to significantly improve patient care.

Therapets Program

Does your dog enjoy meeting new people? If so, you and your dog might be a match for The Beckwith Institute’s Therapets program. In partnership with Animal Friends and UPMC, The Beckwith Institute is proud to present Therapets. Therapets is a program designed by Animal Friends and offers pet therapy training to UPMC employees and their dogs.

As part of a pilot program at Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC, The Beckwith Institute is inviting interested Magee employees to apply to participate in the Therapets program. The application is open now through June 30, 2017. UPMC employees are invited to visit our SharePoint for detailed information on the Therapets program.

View our Therapets flyer (PDF) if you are interested in serving as a Therapets Volunteer.
